Brazil Covid-19 Regulations

  1. Entry Restrictions

All flights to Brazil from the United Kingdom are currently suspended until further notice. Otherwise, there are currently no significant travel restrictions imposed on international travelers arriving at airports in Brazil. Please note that some land borders to Brazil have been closed and entry to Brazil via its sea ports has also been restricted, except for the following:

  • Brazilian citizens and their immediate family members
  • Foreign nationals holding temporary or permanent residence permits
  • Cargo Transportation
  • Certain maritime crew members holding the required visas to perform duties while on a vessel or a platform operating in Brazilian waters.

Effective 30 December 2020, all international travelers arriving in Brazil must complete a Traveler’s Health Declaration Form and present the same to the immigration officials at the port of entry in Brazil.

COVID-19 Testing Requirements

Effective 30 December 2002, all international travelers arriving in Brazil must present a medical certificate (in either English, Portuguese, or Spanish) showing a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to departure to Brazil, except for the following:

  • Children below the age of 2;
  • Children below the age of 12 and travelling with a companion (who presents a certificate with a negative PCR test)

2. Quarantine/Self-Isolation Requirements

There are currently no quarantine/self-isolation requirements imposed on international travelers by the authorities in Brazil.
